Measuring lengths

This is an interactive maths lesson which will enable learners in year 2

  • recognise and use symbols for pounds (£) and pence (p); combine amounts to make a particular value
  • find different combinations of coins that equal the same amounts of money

This is an interactive lesson on measuring lengths for year 1 learners. In this lesson, learners will be able to choose and use appropriate standard units to estimate and measure length/height in any direction (m/cm) to the nearest appropriate unit, using rulers. They will also be able to compare and order lengths using >, < and =.

This lesson follows the National curriculum requirement for year 1 mathematics

Teachers can use the lesson for whole class teaching.  Learners can also use it to do independent work at home.
There are lots of drag and drop activity with instant learner feedback.
